LAW 622C - Fundamental Legal Skills I
This course is designed to teach first year students the fundamental lawyering skills of legal research, writing, citation and analysis. During the first semester, students will learn how to: • Conduct legal research; • Analyze and synthesize cases; • Interpret statutes; • Cite authorities; • Conduct an investigatory interview of a client or witness in a way that will elicit facts important to the resolution of a case; and • Write an objective office memorandum.
