ED 503 - Survey of Algebra |
Course Description: This course provides candidates with an opportunity to deepen their content area knowledge in algebra. Topics include graphing, polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions. Topics also include matrix operations, systems of equations, sequences and series, combinatorics and topics in abstract algebra. The course emphasizes mathematical reason rather than mathematical results. Instruction in communicating mathematics is an important component. Candidates will demonstrate understanding of concepts and operations in algebra at an advanced level. Candidates will be able to utilize concepts and operations in algebra at an advanced level.
